Originally built as a home for the Hall County Fair, it now also hosts the Nebraska State Fair (and other national agriculture shows), offers live thoroughbred horse racing every February through May, is home to the Heartland Events Center, educates visitors on the importance of agriculture at Raising Nebraska, and will soon see the addition of the Grand Island Casino Resort.
