Warm Up with Summer!

The Cairo Cornstalk festival welcomes Summer to the area. Families flock to Island Oasis Water park for relief from summer heat. The Lincoln Pool was completely rebuilt in 2013, and many parks have wading pools for the kiddos.

The parks fill up with people walking their dog, playing disc golf, fishing, and skating at the skate park.Art in the Park sets up every July and the Grand Theatre Car Show fills up downtown every August.

Stuhr Museum offers its annual holiday celebrations in Railroad Town, not to be missed, from Memorial Day through harvest, and their Prairie Sludge Trudge has become an immensely popular mud run.

Summer winds down at the end of August with the Nebraska State Fair overflowing with foods, entertainment, concerts, rides, and its foundational agricultural displays.
