Every child is royalty for an afternoon during Stuhr Museum’s popular “Prairie Princess Party,” Saturday, February 24, from 1-4 p.m. This event will be held at College Park, 3180 W. Highway 34, across the street from Stuhr Museum.
This enjoyable afternoon of play will feature games, face painting, a tea room, a “royal” hair and nail studio, games and much more in what has become a very popular event for little girls (and boys) over the years. This year’s event will feature an “Peter Pan and the Pirates” theme throughout so dressing up is encouraged and the day includes a full slate of activities, including:
•A beautiful tea room hosted by Captain Hook
•Photos with local "princesses"
•A “Royal” Beauty Salon by Joseph's School of Beauty where princesses are invited to get a fancy hair-do and get their nails done
•A chance to meet with Eddie to Comfort Dog.
•Peter Pan centerpieces for sale that you can take home
•Free simple face painting
•Dance Lessons from Heartland School of Dance
•Wonderful crafts that you can take home with you
•Surprises for princesses and princes around every corner!
College Park will also be decked with frilly decorations around every corner and royal activities wherever you look. Children (and adults) are encouraged to dress up for this fancy occasion. Visiting Princes and Princesses must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is $8 per person (1 year olds and under admitted free) and $5 for Stuhr Museum members.
