The second annual Bill Marshall Volleyball Classic at the Nebraska State Fair is set with a full roster of teams from Nebraska high schools as well as NAIA college teams.

State Fair events and entertainment director, Chelsey Jungck said, “Like last year, the 2017 classic is filled with 23 high school teams and four National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) College Volleyball teams.”

“The classic was the dream of former state fair board member Bill Marshall who we lost in early 2016. While the gears were already in motion, everyone involved doubled down to make his dream a reality.” Jungck said, “And with the help of the Nebraska School Activities Association and Hastings College heading up the NAIA match ups, we’re set for an exciting couple of days in year two.”

High School matches will be Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame Jamboree Games. Varsity teams will each play two sets against two other teams. In college action, NAIA teams from Georgia, Oklahoma, Missouri and Nebraska are featured with one trying to polish off the other in the best three out of five.
