The Nebraska State Fair is taking the sounds to the grounds with Jerrod Niemann kicking off our two night outdoor extravaganza on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 8pm.
Tickets are on sale now for a $6 convenience fee plus gate at Etix.com or from the Heartland Events Center Box Office. Fan Club tickets are also available for $30 and include premium seating, Fan Club pin and credentials, no lines, no waiting and an official Fan Club tote.
Chelsey Jungck, entertainment and events director with the Nebraska State Fair says, “We are kicking off the outdoor party with one of Country Music’s premier singer-songwriters. Jerrod Niemann exploded onto the scene in 2010 with the Number One RIAA-Certified Platinum digital single, “Lover, Lover,” and the follow-up Top Five single, "What do You Want.” Since then he’s been playing 200 dates on the road every year.”
Niemann recently followed his RIAA Gold-certified multi-week Number One smash, “Drink to That All Night,” with his High Noon album’s second single, “Donkey.” Niemann co-wrote eight of the 13 tracks on High Noon, the follow-up to his acclaimed, musically adventurous 2012 release, Free the Music.
“Niemann grew up in Kansas beginning to write songs as early as age 8,” Jungck said, “Since then he has helped pen songs for the likes of Neal McCoy, John Anderson and Garth Brooks. It’s rare when you can find someone so gifted vocally who can also write the songs he sings.”
Niemann kicks off the first of two nights of outdoor concerts at the 2015 Nebraska State Fair. Gates will open at 6pm with the concert beginning at 8.
Jungck says, “It’s our hope that the outdoor concerts this year will pave the way to many more in years to come. It definitely creates a one-of-a-kind party atmosphere when you can more than double the attendance we’re able to provide indoors. Our second outdoor concert will be announced on April 1.”
