GRAND ISLAND, STUHR MUSEUM – Every child is royalty for an afternoon during Stuhr Museum’s popular “Prairie Princess Party,” Saturday, January 24, from 1-4 p.m. This year’s event will be held at College Park, 3180 W. Highway 34, across the street from Stuhr Museum.
This enjoyable afternoon party will feature games, face painting, a Victorian tea, a “royal” hair studio, a visit from Miss Outstanding Teen Nebraska, games and much more in what has become a very popular event for little girls (and boys) over the years. Dressing up is encouraged and the day includes a full slate of activities, including:
•Pictures with Miss Outstanding Teen Nebraska MaryLee Prill
•A beautifully decorated Victorian Tea room featuring the Frozen Sisters
•A “Royal” Beauty Salon where princesses are invited to get a fancy hair-do
•A silent auction for Fairy Gardens that you can take home
•Free simple face painting and elaborate face painting for $5
•Dance Lessons from Heartland School of Dance (begins at 1:45)
•Fairy Tales and other stories read throughout the day
•Games, mazes and other royal activities
•Royal crafts that you can take home with you
•Surprises for princesses and princes around every corner!
College Park will also be decked with frilly decorations around every corner and royal activities wherever you look. Children (and adults) are encouraged to dress up for this fancy occasion.
