A power group spawned in a suburban Chicago basement in the early 70s, to transforming the arena rock prototype of big rock and powerful ballads, STYX will perform at the Nebraska State Fair on Saturday, August 23.
Events and entertainment director, Chelsey Jungck says, “STYX broke into the mainstream music with their 1974 hit, “Lady” and that was just the beginning. That was followed by “Come Sail Away,” “Renegade,” “Blue Collar Man” and “Fooling Yourself.”
STYX will perform at 7:30pm on Saturday, August 23, at the Heartland Events Center. Reserved seat tickets can be obtained by going to Etix.com or the Heartland Events Center Box Office in Grand Island for a $6 dollar convenience fee. Tickets are available beginning on August 4.
Jungck says, “STYX is undeniably one of the most prolific groups in rock and roll history. Encompassing a wide range of music from “Lorelei” to “Mr. Roboto”, to power ballads in “Babe”, and “Come Sail Away”. Their endless string of hits and their stage performance will leave you spellbound—asking for more.
With reserved seating through Etix.com, The State Fair has eliminated wristbands in favor of allowing all fair fans to book their tickets online or at the Heartland Events Center box office for a very low convenience fee.
“STYX has performed more live shows since 1999 than any year prior in their career. This shows their immense popularity as a group at the forefront in the creation of a genuine “sound”, but even more popular in the last 15 years as they perform to audiences worldwide.”
