The Nebraska Tourism Commission is pleased to announce the stops that will be part of the 2018 Nebraska Passport. The Passport inspires Nebraskans and tourists to travel the state collecting stamps to earn prizes, while also supporting Nebraska’s tourism destinations. In 2017 a record-setting number of people participated in the program with 465 participants hitting every stop.

Grand Island, NE – The lineup has been announced for the 11th Annual Heartland Hoops Classic, which will take place February 10, 2018. The event includes eight exciting high school basketball match-ups – and for the first time ever, the headliner game will feature two nationally-ranked teams, Oak Hill Academy and Sunrise Christian Academy, both alumni of the Classic.

The Nebraska State Fair High School Rodeo and Showcase was awarded Rodeo of the Year by the Nebraska High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA) at its annual banquet in Kearney on November 4.
This summer, more people than ever before traveled the scenic roads of Nebraska to get stamps in their Nebraska Passport booklet. A record-setting 465 participants submitted Passports with all 80 stops stamped, compared to 168 in 2016 and 81 in 2015.

The Nebraska State Fair’s 2017 attendance reached 379,108, which was 4.98% over
last year totaling just over 18,000 additional fairgoers. The number is the highest since
the State Fair moved to Grand Island in 2010 and even exceeds the 2009 figure in
Lincoln when folks said goodbye to the old fairgrounds.
The Nebraska State Fair is all about family focused fun, and it’s true again this year with Wade Shows on the midway—It’s like an amusement park on wheels. Throughout the grounds, there’s free entertainment, stage shows and strolling entertainment. It is guaranteed good fun.
