Stuhr’s Family Game Night Offers New & Old

GRAND ISLAND, STUHR MUSEUM – Classic and historic games and popular new games are waiting to be played during Stuhr Museum’s annual “Family Game Night”. The event will take place on Friday, March 4th in the Reynolds Building at Stuhr Museum and runs from 6-9 p.m.

Family Game Night combines history with old-fashioned play time as visitors are invited to try any of more than two dozen period and modern games. From cards to marbles, from games of skill to games of chance, from classic games to games you might have never heard of, this is a chance to get out of the house and experience history in a fun and hands-on way. This event also features a number of modern games that have recently grown in popularity, which are fun to play and compare with games from over 120 years ago.

No matter the age or the skill level, there will be games to challenge and entertain everyone. Stuhr staff will be on-hand to help play the games and provide insight as to how and why they were popular in a historical context.
