Go Through the Looking Glass with the Prairie Princess Party

GRAND ISLAND, STUHR MUSEUM – Every child is royalty for an afternoon during Stuhr Museum’s popular “Prairie Princess Party,” Saturday, February 27, from 1-4 p.m. This event will be held at College Park, 3180 W. Highway 34, across the street from Stuhr Museum which allows more room for little girls to have the time of their lives.

This enjoyable afternoon of play will feature games, face painting, a tea room, a “royal” hair and nail studio, games and much more in what has become a very popular event for little girls (and boys) over the years. This year’s event will feature an “Alice in Wonderland” theme throughout. Dressing up is encouraged and the day includes a full slate of activities, including:

•A beautiful tea room hosted by the one and only Mad Hatter
•Photos with Miss Nebraska, Alyssa Howell
•A “Royal” Beauty Salon by Joseph’s College of Beauty where princesses are invited to get a fancy hair-do and get their nails done
•A silent auction for Alice in Wonderland centerpieces that you can take home
•Free face painting (note: Funtastic Face Painting will not be in attendance this year)
•Dance Lessons from Heartland School of Dance
•Story telling featuring further adventures in Wonderland
•Wonderland crafts that you can take home with you
•Surprises for princesses and princes around every corner!

College Park will also be decked with frilly decorations around every corner and royal activities wherever you look. Children (and adults) are encouraged to dress up for this fancy occasion. Visiting Princes and Princesses must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is $8 per person (1 and under admitted free) and $5 for Stuhr Museum members.
