Older Nebraskan’s Day at the Nebraska State Fair will feature a performer with over 70 million records sold—BJ Thomas will perform two shows at 11am and 3pm on Wednesday, August 27.
Events and entertainment director, Chelsey Jungck says, “BJ Thomas has become one of the most recognized and respected voices in American music in a number of genres including Pop, Country, and Gospel music.” “With hits like, “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry”, “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head”, “Hooked On A Feeling”, “Another Done Somebody Wrong Song” and so many more, BJ Thomas has helped shape generations of music lovers from coast to coast,” Jungck said.
BJ Thomas will perform two shows at 11am and 3pm for Older Nebraskans’ Day on Wednesday August 27, 2014. Reserved seat tickets can be obtained by going to Etix.com or the Heartland Events Center Box Office in Grand Island for a $6 dollar convenience fee. Tickets go on sale August 4.
Jungck says, “We have listened to our concert fans and have done away with the wristband system to save our guests the time they stand in line, allow more folks from outside Grand Island to get reserved seat tickets and eliminate the need for a number of trips to the fairgrounds in a single day. Now, getting a reserved seat ticket can be quick and easy from the comfort of your own home.”
“We are so pleased to bring BJ Thomas to the Nebraska State Fair as a five time Grammy and two time Dove Award winner, as a man who is ranked in Billboard’s Top 50 most played artists over the past 50 years—he is a true performer and entertainer that we know concertgoers will love,” Jungck said.
