World Champion Wing Sauce

A tailgating hobby revealed a talent, and that talent was labeled the world’s best in 2015.
Captain Todd Morgan has fought fires for the Grand Island Fire Department since 1988. He has been a college football fan tailgating at Nebraska Cornhusker football games since 2001. After years of perfecting a wing sauce for his tailgating hobby, friends and family encouraged him to brand and sell his talent
Last year, that talent was crowned World Champion in the World Hot Sauce Awards mild/medium wing sauce category just four years after being released. Sparky’s Wing & Dipping Sauce is now available in more than 500 restaurants across the country and another 100-plus retail stores.
Captain Morgan’s firehouse nickname is Sparky, bestowed on him early in his firefighting career. Morgan was accidentally electrified by a defibrillator while assisting with a patient whose heart had stopped.
Question: What is your favorite food that doesn’t use your sauce and isn’t a wing?
Answer: Peanut butter and jelly toast. But I haven’t tried it on toast yet either!
Sparky’s has a unique flavor; it’s not just for wings. Use it on pork, chicken, fish, roast beef, eggs, pizza, deviled eggs, or sloppy joes! The vinegar isn’t dominant so when adding it as an ingredient in baked beans, for instance, the flavor isn’t so overpowering.
