Gary Clayton of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and student of Mormon History, will give a presentation of the western migration of the Vanguard Company led by Brigham Young to the Great Salt Valley, with emphasis on the Mormon Trail through Nebraska.
Gary Clayton, who resides in Doniphan, is the great-great grandson of William Clayton, who traveled with the 1847 company of Mormon emigrants and was appointed scribe by Brigham Young.
This program is open to the public. Admission is $5 for non-members of Hall County Historical Society and free to members.
