Description: Rebecca Matticks, Director of Hastings Museum, presents “History of the Platte River.” Discover this body of water that was too shallow, too crooked, too dirty, too thin, too thick and what it meant to people who came to this area. Matticks will take you on a journey with stories, photos and quotes of the pioneers whom relied on this river from the 1700’s to the 1900’s.
