Stuhr Museum's summer season kicks off on Sunday, May 1 with our 1890's Railroad Town opening to the public! The year is 1896 and the folks in Railroad Town can't wait to show you around town, talk about their daily activities and bring the 1890s to life.
Every day in Railroad Town features historic activities you and your family can take part in. From reading the "Platte Valley Independent" newspaper to visiting the Mercantile, touring a historic home, watching the blacksmith or tinsmith ply their trade or even help out around town, every visit to Railroad Town is unique. Log onto www.stuhrmuseum.org for a list of activities.
Railroad Town is truly a special place and a treasure in the middle of Nebraska. Make plans to visit this year. Sunday is also a big day as a FREE reception for the Hall County Student Art Show is this Sunday from 2-4 p.m. in the Stuhr Building. Please come support our local student artists and see one of the most eclectic and diverse shows on our calendar.
Railroad Town is open Mondays - Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sundays from Noon - 5 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children (prices change during special events) and free for Stuhr Museum members.
